About Ms. Krass

My photo
Ms. Krass
My name is Ms. Krass. I am the Art Education specialist at Lake Forest Elementary. I have been teaching ART for 17 years. I began my teaching career at Love Nolan Elementary and taught there until May 2008. In August of 2008, I started a new phase of my teaching career at Lake Forest, a new Fulton county school in Sandy Springs! I am having a wonderful sixth year with my students! I am orginally from Gulfport, Mississippi and moved to Atlanta when I was 19. I attended the Atlanta College of Art and recieved a BFA in Painting. I worked in a gallery for a long time and then decided to go back to school and pursue teaching art. I am so glad that I did! I found my passion for teaching! In November of 2009, I was honored to receive the title of Elementary Teacher of the Year from the Fulton County Board of Education, Fulton County Schools 2009-2010. In April of 2011, I was chosen as one of five honorees in the state of Georgia for the Woodruff Arts Center/ Woodruff Salutes Educators. This was such an incredible honor as an art education teacher!
