Kindergarten Stamped Hearts

Kindergarten learned the "Heart" of symmetry and cut out their own hearts!  Yes, yes, they did!  I introduced Jim Dim's love of hearts, and his artwork and my students stamped until their hearts were content!

Happy Valentines Day!

Kindergartners created these FABULOUS collage hearts inspired by artist, Jim Dine. Each student drew 6 hearts and got to use various art materials: watercolor pencils, oil pastels, tempera paint, glitter crayons, metallic crayons, tissue paper and markers to make each heart unique. The borders around their collage were their found object printing paper scraps from their previous lesson, African mud cloths!
