Yayoi Kusama's Pumpkins

I love Yayoi Kusama's pumpkin forms. She is a Japanese artist who is known for her love of "polka dots"! She is such a fun artist to introduce to students during this time of the year! My first graders are creating pumpkin forms with textured designs from clay inspired by her!

Fifth Grade TRADE BEADS!

Fifth FINALLY completed their handmade paper trade beads last week! Fifth graders were able to trade beads with each other before creating their own "one of a kind" piece of jewelry! Students were "wheeling and dealing" making sure that craftsmanship on each bead they traded for was up to their standards!
